“I am a singer, musician (flute), publisher and producer. I write songs and consider myself an interpreter ”.

This is Paola, an all-round artist from Cagliari. His first musical experiences follow from a very young age, as a white voice in some operas (Werther by Jules Massenet, Wozzeck by Alban Berg, Lo Schiaccianoci by PJCjaikovskj) at the Auditorium of the Cagliari Conservatory, and, later, his first concert as a solo singer. At the age of 21 he moved to Milan, after having been a guest on the RAI 2 TV show “Il Piacere dell’estate”, having sung at the Sports Hall of Cagliari for the event “Lo sport contro la droga”, at Poetto on the occasion of the promotion of Cagliari Calcio in Serie A, at the festival “Jazz in Sardegna” as a soloist and accompanying the Angolan singer Mario Rui Silva to the flute, in Bologna and in several locations in his region.

She was a chorister of Eros Ramazzotti in the world tour “Where is Music” She collaborated with Audio 2, Lucio Dalla, Alan Sorrenti, Alex Britti and Edoardo Bennato, Monica Anderson and many others. He has lent his voice to some advertising jingles: Vodafone, Mercedes. Thanks to Eros Ramazzotti he has taken important stages and participated in TV shows of absolute value, such as the TV broadcast Taratatà in Paris, the prestigious MTV Europe Music Awards in London and performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

In 2012 he created with his group, the Fononazional, the video clip “La mia amante” of which he is also the author of the text. In September 2012 he played with his band at the Ronnie Scott bar in London, a cult venue for international jazz. In November of the same year he recorded two tracks for Panorama Unplugged. Also in 2012, the plate “Nati sardi” as an overseas Sardinian artist was donated by the Autonomous region of Sardinia. Beyond the personal research as a composer and author of unpublished pieces that have given birth to two CDs, one with her band Fononazional, “Una sera” and the other on her behalf, Paola Atzeni, “Dentro”, her live repertoire it is wide and ranges from Italian copyright music to the great classics (Vanoni, Mina, Bertè, Conte, Mannoia, Capossela, Paoli, Fabi, Dalla, Fossati, Martini and many others …) winking at Brazilian music (Jobim, Veloso, Regina, Carlos, Javan etc …) to jazz standards and to our local swing … There are many live collaborations with musicians of national and international fame. Thirty years of live music that Paola has collected over time and which she proposes in an always original key.

From 2012 to 2015 she was the owner of Progeo Edizioni and of Progeo Home Recording Studio. He works freelance as a sound engineer with studio and live artists. It is proposed with 3 musical projects: the Fononationals, already mentioned above (Marco Bianchi, Eugenio Mori, Piero Orsini); with the Duo Paros, together with Rosella Cazzaniga (guitar) and the trio Parosmeccanica, with the addition of the Alice Pizzi drums. The continuous search for new sounds to revisit and revive the great songs of Italian and South American music, and the vast repertoire with a continuous alternation of rhythms and harmonies makes the style of the group very dynamic in which pop, rock, bossa nova meet , samba, bolero, blended with elegance, refinement and grit.
